A Brain “Kiln” to Benefit the Delhi Community Health Centre
On Friday, September 27, I hosted the third annual Delhi Brain “Kiln” to benefit the Delhi Community Health Centre. A fun night of friendly trivia knowledge competition was had by all. The winning team – Port Pals – took the win by one point. There was a tie for “most stumped” team, who walked away with bags of Smartfood popcorn.
This year’s trivia night raised $5,485 for the Delhi Community Health Centre, bringing our three year total to almost $15,000. The centre is an asset to Norfolk County. It currently has 10 family physicians, and offers several integral programs to community members, including a chronic non-cancer pain management clinic. It would be difficult to find a more comprehensive health centre in a rural area in the province.
A special thanks to the sponsors of this year’s trivia night: Lerners Lawyers, Stride Rehab, Big Creek Realty/Coldwell Banker, DMA Rehability, Functionability, Rehab First, and Vanden Bussche Irrigation. Without their support, and that of our volunteers and participants, the fundraiser would not be so successful!
