Norfolk General Hospital Foundation Golf Classic
A day of golfing, ice cream and …. deer!
On Monday, July 17, I had the pleasure of golfing in the 28th annual Norfolk General Hospital Foundation Golf Classic. This is the fifth year that Lerners LLP has been a sponsor of this charity golf tournament. The three day tournament attracts hundreds of community minded golfers playing to raise funds for the hospital serving Norfolk County.
This year, funds raised will be going to replace hospital beds and stretchers in the emergency department. These beds and stretchers will provide better mobility, safety and comfort for patients and staff.
It was a perfect day for golf at the scenic Norfolk Golf and Country Club. My foursome – consisting of Michael Columbus, Bob Knipf and Tony Lados – managed to improve our score on the back nine, although our aim is to have fun and not be too concerned about our golf handicaps (especially with me on the team!). It is easy to have fun at this golf tournament with free ice cream at the 10th hole.
The Norfolk General Hospital Foundation Golf Classic has raised over $2 million for new hospital equipment since its inception. Lerners LLP congrats the Foundation on another successful tournament, and is proud to support this event and the Norfolk General Hospital.
