TASTINGS: A Night to Wine, Dine and Look Fine
On Thursday, May 3, Londoners gathered at the London Hunt & Country Club to enjoy a night of decadence involving food, wine and their finest threads. Lerners LLP has been a proud sponsor of TASTINGS since its inauguration. This event appeals to wine lovers, foodies and fashionistas.
Wineries from around the world have their best vintages available to sample. Whether you prefer New World or Old World wines, you will find a few that keep you going back from more. The silent auction is filled with wines that you won’t see on the shelves of the LCBO – if you’re an avid collector, or looking to venture into the world of wine, you will not be disappointed. Be prepared to check your bids regularly!
TASTINGS is a food lover’s heaven. Several local chefs prepared small plates for guests to enjoy. This year, the chefs creating the mouth-watering dishes were from the following establishments: All Bout Cheese, Clock Tower Inn & Bistro, Craft Farmacy, David’s Bistro, F.I.N.E. Restaurant, Little Inn of Bayfield, London Hunt & Country Club, Petit Paris Creperie & Patisserie, Sixthirtynine, The In Home Chef and The Red Rabbit. One definitely leaves Tastings with their outfit feeling a little tighter.
And finally, one cannot describe TASTINGS without mentioning the attire. The gentlemen are in tuxedos and the ladies are in beautiful dresses with serious bling. Red Carpet is the best way to describe everyone’s look for the evening. Tastings is like a fashion show with delicious food and wine.
Most importantly, the funds raised from the event go to support the London Health Sciences Foundation. Donors who attend or contribute to TASTINGS raise funds for London Health Sciences Centre’s leading edge care and research. Projects which have benefited from the funds raised at Tastings include: the Head and Neck Cancer Research Program, Genetic Testing Equipment for Cancer Treatment, and improvements to the London Regional Cancer Program which transformed it into a patient-focused facility addressing patient volume, comfort and access to care.

P.S. TASTINGS is always the first Thursday of May, so put it in your calendar for next year!
