The London-area family of Jonathan Dew is anxious to get answers

Jonathan Dew was healthy enough to be riding a bicycle when he was picked up by police in September 2012.

A few days days later, he was found in a jail cell, dehydrated and “a very, very sick man.”

Starting Monday, Dew’s London-area family hopes to learn how and why the 26-year-old man fell so sick inside the Windsor jail where he died.

“It all centres on the quality of care and the timeliness of care,” London lawyer Andrew Murray, who represents Dew’s family, said. “I don’t think . . . that they are satisfied at all that everything was done that could have been done or should have been done for Jonathan, leading up to his moment of great distress.”
