
What’s really on trial in the Ghomeshi case (Gillian Hnatiw quoted)
Last fall, in a bid to forestall the inevitable glare on Ghomeshi’s four accusers, Gillian Hnatiw, the Toronto lawyer representing Lucy DeCoutere (the only complainant to request not to have a publication ban on her name) issued a statement: “Fundamentally, the case is about the alleged behaviour of Mr. Ghomeshi,” it read in part. “It is important to victims everywhere that we remain focused on that fact.”
