A fit for any situation
I have had a variety of life experiences that have helped round me out as a person: rural and urban upbringing, a commission as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, extensive motorcycle travel, and raising four children. I’ve volunteered in my community, and with provincial professional organizations. I was a university lecturer in Canadian Legal Procedure for many years, and the Law Society recognizes me as one of a relatively small group of lawyers in the province who is a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation. At the beginning of my career, I appeared regularly in criminal court matters, acting for accused persons and the Crown on different occasions. I have acted as preferred counsel for many insurance companies, and later as plaintiff personal injury counsel. My personal background and varied legal experience give me a practical perspective to help clients.

What my team and I bring to the table is a friendly, kind and approachable way of working that honours the “Golden Rule”: we try to treat people the same way we would want to be treated ourselves. Our empathy guides our work and helps us recognize how personal injuries can affect an entire family.
