Not all lawyers are the same, and not all lawyers will be a fit for you — you need to find someone you’re comfortable with, so getting to know me a bit before we work together is essential. When you take away a person’s ability to live their everyday life, they can feel robbed of their self-esteem, confidence and sense of identity. As a lawyer, my most crucial initial job is to listen to my client’s situation and then to guide them on avenues they can pursue to help them in the short-term and the long term. Taking those facts and trying to fit them into the law is the first puzzle that we have to solve together through long and careful discussions. That forms a “game plan” for how we move forwards.
Sharing Insights
I joined Ontario Today’s Rita Celli to explore issues surrounding parents who permit underage drinking in their homes and at parties.
Sharp Focus, Broad Perspective
While I dedicate my practice to assisting injured and disabled clients, I also act as counsel in lawsuits in cities across Ontario, including Toronto, Ajax, Whitby, Mississauga, Scarborough, Oshawa, Newmarket, Thornhill, Markham, Brantford and beyond. Earlier in my career, I acted for insurance company defendants, which allows me to deliver a broader perspective to my client. I have represented injury victims and insurance clients in the Court of Appeal.

Awards & recognitions
Working for you
For the first part of my law career, I split my practice between representing injured or disabled people and the insurance companies or doctors being sued. Today, I only work with individuals and families dealing with the effects of a personal injury. Still, that initial experience representing big organizations allowed me to see the other side. It gave me the upper hand in knowing how these companies work.
My personal goal is that every one of my clients receives honest, respectful and experienced guidance that provides them with as much protection and fair compensation as possible within what can sometimes be an unfair system (especially if it isn’t carefully navigated from the beginning).
Calm, experienced guidance
A guiding principle I have always had is to try to help good people in whatever way I can. That energizes me and keeps me hoping to do the kind of work that makes me and my kids proud at the end of a long day.
Clients say
