Lerners Welcomes Newest Partner Sandev Purewal To Toronto Office

Lerners is pleased to announce that Sandev Purewal has joined our Toronto and Waterloo Region offices as part of our growing personal injury and class actions law groups. Sandev is an experienced and respected litigator, and we are thrilled to welcome him as our newest partner to the firm.

Sandev, certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Ontario, has more than 20 years of experience focusing on serious personal injury matters, disability claims, and insurance lawsuits. He has a wealth of experience in a wide range of civil and commercial litigation matters.

Sandev is a skilled and effective advocate who takes a client-centred approach and believes in consistent and frequent communication with his clients to ensure they are always informed.

He has appeared as counsel before the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Appeal, Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Tax Court of Canada and is recognized for personal injury litigation in Best Lawyers in Canada.

As the newest Vice-President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), Sandev focuses on improving access to justice and working to ensure OTLA’s mandates are continually exercised. He will become the President-Elect in 2023/2024 and the President in 2024/2025. He continues to dedicate his time as Chair at Peel Helmets on Kids.

As a mentor at both the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers – Ontario (FACL) and the South Asian Bar Association, Sandev values the experience he can share with the next generation.
